Only one day left until the Vienna Climate Run 2025!
Just like my colleagues Mitch, Natalia, Patrick, and Vanessa, I would also like to briefly introduce myself as a member of the akaryon running team! On Saturday, October 11, 2025, we will all be participating in the Vienna Climate Run. This event is organized by the association “panSol – Climate Protection : Energy : Environment” and the association SOL – People for Solidarity, Ecology and Lifestyle.
Why I am running in the Vienna Climate Run
It motivates me to combine running with a good cause. Lately, it seems as though interest in climate change is waning despite the multitude of related disasters, while at the same time, the number of people questioning what is happening is on the rise.
Our environment must be protected, and I want to do my part to raise people’s awareness of this issue.

Personal Goal
I am very excited to participate in a solidarity run for the first time. I am focusing on showing my full support while also wanting to learn how such events work to gain a good understanding of which measures truly help the cause.
My essentials for getting through the event
Water and training. I haven’t run in a long time, so I’m mainly focusing on getting back into shape and having as much fun as possible, as that is also a great motivator alongside the good cause. I think it’s great that the Vienna Climate Run takes place in October, as the weather is cooler then.
Measurable Climate Protection Effects
Just as easily as our ESG-Cockpit creates a carbon footprint, every step at the Vienna Climate Run contributes to a green footprint: Based on scientifically sound methods from Klimapartnerschaft.at, every 1.5 km lap completed in the Vienna Prater results in 1.5 m² of protected forest area… A run that truly pays off!
To all participants who can’t get enough of numbers with ethical added value: In the digital finisher bag from akaryon, sponsoring partner of the Vienna Climate Run, a voucher awaits for an ESG-Cockpit webinar on the topic of “Obligations and Opportunities of Sustainability Reporting” (limited offer). Feel free to visit us at the Climate Village on the day of the event to learn more!
