Result of an Austrian Research Project: Energy WITH Spirit ESG Portal
The Energy WITH Spirit ESG Portal (also referred to as the EWS Portal) by akaryon is an innovative ESG monitoring system for energy communities. It was developed as part of the research project Energy WITH Spirit (EWS) and is based on established ESG standards adapted for energy communities.
An Addition to the ESG Portal Family
The technical foundation for the EWS Portal is akaryon’s ESG Portal. This supports target-group-specific data collection for ESG monitoring and, via API connection to the ESG Cockpit, enables all calculations necessary for ESG reporting.
Automated ESG Monitoring for Energy Communities
The monitoring report, which can be automatically generated with the EWS ESG Portal, includes evaluations for all ESG areas as well as a clear display of the energy community’s classification according to European Union regulations.

The Energy WITH Spirit project is funded by the “Lighthouses for Resilient Cities 2040” program as part of the Climate and Energy Fund’s Smart Cities initiative. The B-NK Office for Sustainable Competence coordinates the project. akaryon contributes ESG expertise, experience from EU projects on energy communities, and its flagship software ESG Cockpit.
