A brief recap:
In February 2020, we were able to train around 30 WIN consultants in digital carbon footprinting with the ESG Cockpit at the Raiffeisenhof in Graz.

The rest of the process was then more digital than planned for a long time due to the corona phase … nevertheless, some pioneering climate reports with Styrian pioneering companies were already created in the first year.

In the following years, further projects were implemented and guidelines and methods were collaboratively developed to better support the work of consultants, especially with SMEs.
ESG Cockpit product development also responded to the wishes of the consultants and added a number of functions, including:

  • additional data areas and emission factors in collaboration with partner Federal Environment Agency
  • a specific carbon footprint report, which is delivered at the touch of a button and which very efficiently pours the data collection and consulting results into a GHG Protocol-compliant structure
  • or functions for scenario analyses – long before such considerations found their way into standards – such as with ESRS.

On the occasion of the conclusion of the pioneering phase, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the WIN team, in particular Silke Leichtfried and all the consultants, for the exciting collaboration – and we are delighted that Styria will continue to produce many carbon footprints, ESRS and VSME reports in the future.

Above all, so that the companies can successfully appear ESG-fit on the market and use the insights gained from these activities to optimise the sustainability of their business activities.

Climate accounting has outgrown the pioneering phase and ESG data management is on its way to becoming the general standard – we would be delighted if we could support many companies on their further journey!
