If you find that there is only one thing you can do, force yourself to do two.

Chargaff, Erwin (2000), Serious Questions, Stuttgart: Klett-Cotta, p. 109

In this spirit, I live two professional lives following my two inner aspirations: The first—oriented toward natural sciences and technology—as a physicist and data analyst at akaryon. The second—oriented toward consulting science and spirituality—as a business consultant and self-employed professional in my own right. (See here).

Today, I see myself as a physicist, data analyst, mediator, conflict consultant, Buddhist scholar, and shamanic apprentice on the path to becoming a body and energy worker.

Previously, I was a program and network manager, assessor, evaluator, and project and communications manager in intercultural and international EU projects. Even earlier, I was an astrophysicist, fluid dynamicist, and a researcher and teacher in training.

In 2010, my professional career took me from university sciences to a state funding agency at the intersection of business, science, and politics. Over the following twelve years, as an observer of technology development and innovation processes, I moved through almost all academic disciplines and numerous branches of industry.

In 2022, I took a year off to write my master’s thesis in mediation and conflict resolution. This resulted in a master’s thesis and two books. One of them is now also available in English. (See here.)

From January 2023 to July 2024, I was on a world trip. Since August 2024, I have been dedicated to my professional self-employment. Since August 2025, I have been working as a physicist and data analyst for akaryon.

Coming from physics, I have been dealing with the philosophical embedding of the reductionist-materialist scientific paradigm into an integral spiritual worldview since 2003, with mediation and conflict resolution since 2005, and with various forms of Mahayana Buddhism since 2006: Zen, Karate, Tibetan Buddhism, Dzogchen, Iaido, and BodyIntelligence. Since my first vision quest in 2009, I have been deeply dedicated to working with the body, energy, consciousness, sound, and imagination.

The exploration and processing of the tension between cooperation, competition, linguistic confusion, perception, conflict, and confrontation is the overarching common thread that I have always followed.
