We are grateful for the valuable opportunity to share our experiences in ESG data management with the innovation community alongside our long-standing client, Anita Wagner-Lang from Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI). Kristina Maurer from Vienna Business Agency (VBA) organized a discussion on “Data for Sustainability” as part of the Austria Innovation Forum.

On October 10, 2024, Tarek Leitner interviewed us at the ERSTE Campus in Vienna about the evolving ESG landscape. The key takeaways were: Location-based orientation, flexible adaptability, and multiple utilization possibilities for ESG data have always been central. Currently, the focus is on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the advancing operationalization of interfaces.

What else do we take away from the event? Innovation and ESG seem to be more closely intertwined than the lack of an explicit reference to the term ‘innovation’ in the ESRS standard might suggest. Sustainability management is increasingly being viewed as an integral part of the innovation ecosystem.
